Ara Lake Camp Fly-in Fishing
Nestled in the pristine Boreal forests of Northern Ontario’s Arctic Watershed, Ara Lake Camp lies 40 air miles northwest of the town of Nakina. The camp features five fully equipped housekeeping log cabins with options ranging from American Plans with meals to simpler housekeeping arrangements available to our guests.
Ara Lake is a spring-fed body of water that stretches 18 miles long and 4 1/2 miles wide, and features classic habitat for fantastic walleye, northern pike, and perch fishing! This deep, clear Canadian Shield lake maintains consistent season-wide water temperatures that ensure limitless fishing action from May through September.
Anglers are exposed to an endless variety of fishing areas including expansive bays loaded with cabbage weed flats, numerous rocky points dotting the shoreline, off-shore islands and countless mid-lake shoals. These areas provide incredible fishing for both veterans as well as first-time fishermen throughout the entire season! A channel 1/2 – mile wide and 3 miles long leads to Meta Lake, which is 16 miles long and 4 miles wide and provides further angling opportunities. Whether your interests lie in catching trophy Northern Pike, boating stringer upon stringer of feisty Walleye or hooking bunches of tasty jumbo Perch, Ara Lake is the place for you!
